ヨハネによる福音書

9:39 そこで、イエスは言われた。「わたしはさばきのためにこの世に来ました。目の見えない者が見えるようになり、見える者が盲目となるためです。」

9:40 パリサイ人の中でイエスとともにいた者たちが、このことを聞いて、イエスに言った。「私たちも盲目なのですか。」

9:41 イエスは彼らに言われた。「もしあなたがたが盲目であったなら、あなたがたに罪はなかったでしょう。しかし、今、『私たちは見える』と言っているのですから、あなたがたの罪は残ります。」

  9:39 Jesus said, "I came to this world to judge, so that the blind should see and those who see should become blind."

  9:40 Some Pharisees who were there with him heard him say this and asked him, "Surely you don't mean that we are blind, too?"

  9:41 Jesus answered, "If you were blind, then you would not be guilty; but since you claim that you can see, this means that you are still guilty."
